Over 200 pairs of tennis shoes have been collected and distributed in communities such as Rocinha, Turano, Vigário Geral and Pavuna. The Olympic Champion insists on taking in person the donations to the students in need. Those who want to donate shoes should go to any Sesc unit in Rio de Janeiro or the Jackie's Volleyball Club/ Sesc in the Beach nucleuses located in two spots of the Southern region of Leblon, in front of Gen. Venâncio Flores; and in Copacabana, in front of Rua Santa Clara. "Sports is a healthy and amusing way of taking citizenship and opportunity to such children. I hope that people be touched and help us by donating their old tennis shoes," comments Jacqueline .
The school units in areas in need are located in Vigário Geral, Pavuna, Cidade de Deus, Tuiuti, Jardim América, Fazenda Botafogo, Mallet, Anchieta, Olaria, Acari, Salgueiro, Rocinha, Engenho Novo, Mangueira, Santa Marta, Santa Teresa, Parque Anchieta, Catete, Irajá, Catumbi, Rio Comprido/Turano and Chapéu Mangueira.
